On a sunny Saturday the square turns into an open-air gallery once again. Artists from the city have set up their stalls: paintings, ceramics, jewellery and photographs, all made with love.
Marieke, who has been painting watercolours in her studio around the corner for years, chats away to everyone who stops at her stall. "I really enjoy telling people how a piece comes about," she says.
Further along, a young potter is laying out his latest collection, while visitors stroll around, talk to the makers and now and then wrap up something beautiful to take home.
The square is full of life: chatter, laughter and the smell of fresh coffee from a nearby stall. Spend an afternoon here and you'll go home not just with a unique object, but with a story to go with it.
